The 2018 Enterprise Mobility Transformation Exchange in Berlin has successfully brought together digital and IT leaders tasked with enabling and driving change in the digital transformation agenda. Visionary presentations, working groups, invigorating discussions and lively networking functions brought perspective and ideas to all in attendance.  According to Hannah Corkerry of IQPC Exchange UK, some of the key themes emerging in this year’s event were the importance of developing and delivering high quality enterprise applications in an age of IT consumerization, BYOD versus DaaS, robust API strategy and management to facilitate interoperability, the potential of emerging technologies and the cultural shift that must occur in tandem with mobile transformation.

This year’s EMT Exchange theme was ‘Secure, Manage, and Transform Your Digital Mobile Environment’ and under it, Heiko Friedrich shared some great insight on how enterprise mobility is a driver for corporate success. Some of his key points are the concept of DaaS (Device as a Service), the globalization of Enterprise Mobility Management, GDPR as a driver to invest into mobile security and MTD (Mobile Threat Defense), also now is the time to fully embrace unified end-point management. In his presentation, he stated that to adjust to ever changing challenges within their markets, companies are forces to embody mobility as a core part of not only the IT strategy but also the overall value add chain, and this results in the need to harmonize the mobility approach and systems across regions and divisions. Only by selecting the right partner, allowing mobility to be a driver for innovation and synchronizing it across can be successful. Providing the services especially tailored for mobility to guarantee application success and end user satisfaction has been at the core of GEMA and its licensees.

After the presentation, together with Patrick Wils (Managing Director of GEMA Benelux) and Martin Cornelius (Head of Sales and Marketing of Schiffl GmbH), Heiko had one-on-one business meeting, which provided an exceptional opportunity for event attendees to assess the solutions and services that are available to help them achieve their business objectives. GEMA’s unique approach by providing true global service by being local resounded well in all those meeting. If you would like to know more about how GEMA enables people and companies to realize their potential of mobility as a part of the digital workplace, stay tuned.
